Young-joong Kang, president of Daekyo, was named “21st Century Manager of the Year,” the grand prize in the “21st Century Grand Awards” sponsored by the 21st Century Top Management Club.
Considered the Nobel Prize in the business world, the “21st Century Grand Awards” were established in 1986 to celebrate the foundation of the 21st Century Top Management Club. It is awarded to managers who have contributed to the development of the domestic industry.
President Kang was selected in recognition of his contributions for 34 years to develop Daekyo as the top company in the domestic education industry since its foundation in 1976 as well as enhancement of global management through overseas expansion, fulfillment of corporate social responsibility, and nongovernmental diplomacy through works as the president of the Badminton World Federation.
In the awarding ceremony held at the Plaza Hotel on April 15, President Kang vowed to do his best in investment and support for globalization to make Daekyo the top company in international education and culture.
