Deakyo Culture Foundation invites nominees for the "19th Noonnoppi Education Awards" until June 15 to promote model teachers and boost their morale.
The Noonnoppi Education Awards invite recommendations of teachers who practice the Noonnoppi love based on their passion and sense of duty in relation to education. The award will be given to 8 exemplary educators in elementary, secondary, special, preschool, lifelong, and foreign education sectors. Current teachers and educational administrators with at least 10 years'' experience in education or related sector will be eligible for nomination. Each successful candidate will be honored with an award, a plaque, and a KRW 20 million check.
Since its establishment in 1992, the Noonnoppi Education Awards have recognized 129 educators with an extraordinary sense of mission in the education of future generations especially with regard to improving educational environment, providing humanity education through social services, educating Koreans based overseas, and supporting cultural activities.
The 19th Noonnoppi Education Awards will accept recommendations until June 15, 2010 and announce the result based on the submitted documents and actual inspection in October.
