The Daekyo Culture Foundation together with KERI (Knowledge-based Education R&D Institute) published the second Daekyo Children’s Education and Culture Series under the theme of educating children on creativity. Supporting research on children’s education and culture, the Daekyo Children’s Education and Culture Series selected 5 excellent research topics through a public competition in January last year. 5 individual books designed for the parents of students were published after a total of 10 months of studies and writing. The second Daekyo Children’s Education and Culture Series was launched in 5 individual books: Exciting Learning and Creative Vitamin Omega 5 (by Yong-suk Lee), Journey to the Myth that Cultivates Creative Power and Imaginative Power (by Chung-ok Pyo), New Way of Reading Traditional Nursery Tales that Foster Creative Children (by Yung-ju Kim), Edutainment Teaching Method that Nurtures Creative Children (by Sung-hae Ahn), and Creative Learning Through Advertisement on the Thinking Pool (by Yoo-chul Cha, Byung-hui Kim, and Hui-bok Lee). "The Daekyo Children’s Education and Culture Series consists of books that are essentially needed in this age and in the community, and we tried to create books that can easily be read by the general public,” said Young-joong Kang, President of the Daekyo Culture Foundation. According to him, they intend to play continuously the role of “a passage that transmits the latest theories of the academic world and the outstanding results of studies to the front line teachers and parents.” Last year, the Daekyo Culture Foundation published 5 individual books under the theme “World Education Here and Now” in the first Daekyo Children’s Education and Culture Series.
